it's strange that you are comparing democracy with a communism.
Wasn't the whole premise of democracy to express yourself freely and the core idea was "rule by the people"?
If country claims that they are democracy, then they should give people to add their opinion to rule the country, China is following its own core idea, ruled by a single party.

> should be coached out
No, it won't work. Biologically, 25 years old without a family responsibilities will not get it anyway.
If you are 25 years old, single and your friends are similar to you, what would you do?
Yes, when 50 years old applies as a senior engineer, 25 years old senior engineers get uncomfortable. You might not notice it in any public conversation, but there is still a resistance:

 * will they be on-call?
 * can they work long hours?
 * how do I delegate to them?
 * are they going to resist new tech?

> The Trump admin’s foreign policy is to allow Netanyahu to operate autonomously. The same they offer ICE.
to be honest, by now, it feels like the opposite, Netanyahu is allowing Trump admin to operate autonomously when it comes to internal affairs, for foreign policy Netanyahu is dictating the US foreign policy.
Go check Twitter, for some reason 90% of congress members immediately started praying for Israel after Israel's attack, as if they were handed over the message

By this logic NVIDIA should cut off Claude, because Claude is reselling their GPU hours, when NVIDIA itself can do it.
IMHO, there are 3 types of products in current LLM space (excluding hardware):

 * Model makers - OpenAI, Claude, Gemini
 * Infra makers - Groq, together.ai and etc
 * Product makers - Cursor, Windsurf and others

If Level 1 can block Level 3 this easily, that's a problem for industry in my book. Because there will be no trust between different types of companies, when there is no trust, some companies become monopoly with a bad behavior, bad for customers/users

I don't know what kind of agreement they had, or any agreement at all, but with this move, Anthropic is showing itself as an unreliable provider.
It's same as: We can cut access anytime, "I think it would be odd for us to be selling Claude to <YOUR_COMPANY>"
