Naive question may be. But if quantum can break bitcoin, won't it also be able to break other encryptions that literally everyone else uses as well? So, it's not that bitcoin is particularly vulnerable right any more than banks and Gmails?

Need a suggestion, and thought might as well ask here. I use a Mac now. Last windows was more than 15 years ago and now I want to try Linux. which version would you recommend? should I go with Ubuntu or Debian or Mint or something else? I am not a tinkerer. I want something that just works, on the lines of a Mac.

//Apple TV is available on the Apple TV app
What's confusing about this?
Netflix is available on Netflix App. HBO is available on HBO app. Normal people don't care.
It's perfectly normal for Netflix the company to run Netflix the service on Netflix the app on Netflix device if they release one. It's not confusing at all. What would be confusing is if they all had different names.

the biggest problem with switching away from Mac is losing the ecosystem benefits. When Apple TV automatically knows to fill your iCloud password, all the Apple Watch integration, syncing everything from notes to reminders. I can't see how any Linux can match all that.

When someone asks how something is fair - coming back with life is like that or life isn't fair is not a valid response. Humanity should strive to make the systems as fair as possible while accepting the fact that unfairness will still exist. Why will theft etc be a crime if not for the idea of fairness. You can make the same life is unfair argument to defend theft but that's not the way it should be / is.

It's not about whether consumers like interoperability or not.
If scenario-1 - is no interoperability but superior user experience]
scenario-2 - is interoperability with subpar user experience
there are those that would rather have the former than the latter. Pretty sure Apple can provide a better user experience without the constraint of interoperability than otherwise.

I am getting conflicting opinions on this, so I will ask. My company has filed a 485 for me (currently on H1) and my wife is a dependent. My wife is currently on O1 and her company wants to file a separate 485 for her (with me as dependent) for backup. But my company's attorneys are telling me that's not recommended and it's better to withdraw one before filing another. Is that so or can 2 485s be filed?

//They are famous for protecting their walled garden and hostility towards cross platform development tools.
Trying to deconstruct this to understand better.
2 possibilities.
1. Supporting cross platform development tools is actually in Apple's interest/business and they are being stupid not to support them. But so far it doesn't seem like they are losing anything by not supporting it going by their financials.
2. Supporting cross platform development tools is not in their interest - in which case they are doing the right thing by doing what's good for their business.
So, where is the disconnect?

Please if someone from Apple is listening: Please pay some attention to Indian music as well. I mostly only listen to Tamil songs and when Apple came out with iTunes Match or something where they analyze your library and match it to what they have in cloud, they just incorrectly matched songs with the Telugu version and ones from other languages and totally messed up my collection. And, this day and age, why should all Indian music be clubbed under "Foreign" genre by default?
