I'm curious, is it generally used hand-held, as in the website's pics? I would guess that it adds wobbling on top of the distortion (maybe a less desirable feat).

Wouldn't that make it easier, though? Genuine question.
I once sent one of my writings for proofreading to a native speaker (I'm not), and he consistently flagged the same errors—e.g., comma placement.
I would guess that, if recurrent patterns are what give away your style, an unfamiliar language would make them even more obvious. But possibly more generic?

How do you get clients for tech writing, if I may ask? Are you maintaining a stable pool of companies and doing work as they need it, or do you always have to fish for new opportunities?
I've been authoring sw dev books that target a niche audience, and I've done some writing for the company that develops the sw itself. I'm wondering whether to expand to other areas, too—I've got the feeling that 2024 is going to be a rather challenging year, financially speaking.

About the "know your code" part, I got burned when I asked for an overview of a few header files from an SDK I wasn't familiar with in a local repo.
Claude hallucinated badly, making up functions and their descriptions for most files—in a very believable way, though.
I've got the habit of double-checking with ChatGTP, just to be sure.

I didn't know Getrevin, but it's possibly out of scope for the average Gumroad creator. I mean, they charge $799 per month (according to them, they're competitive if you have a monthly volume of 150K)
There's plenty of MoRs out there: FastSpring, Paddle, Lemonsqueezy, and I'm sure the ones that I don't know will flood Twitter in the next days :-)

Never understood the reason why Hasselblad (formerly Imacon) scanners aren't part of the list. Given the street price of several thousands of dollars and the fact that Hasselblad has decided to discontinue them a few years ago, there would be a large audience of users willing to pay good money for it.
