I am an owner of a Glove 80 and I cannot overstate how benefitial it was for me. It improved my typing speed and overall comfort. Also, it forced me to type correctly, using all my fingers and place them in the correct keys.
To this day I think this is one of the best pieces of hardware that I bought.

Locating: One direct referal from a former colleage, and another one from LinkedIn (I applied to it)
Interviewing: I just treat the interviewer as partner rather than a rival that is stopping me from getting the job or something. Being honest and know what you are talking about is key.
Surviving: Didnt really need to, all the companies I worked in were good enough.

I went down to the path of split, tented, columnar keyboards and bought myself a Glove 80.
Despite expensive, I think the purchase was definitely worth it. I use it every day for 6-8 hours (I have a very keyboard centric workflow) and I have not a single regret.

I tried those 3, and decided to go for bottles. The configuration needed in order to run Windows programms were really really easy, and I like the fact that I can keep all the Windows programs neatly organized in a single place, not only games (as Lutris and Heroic are intended to).
I also tried just wine, but Bottles is a handy wrapper.

Most likely you will have to write a lot to communicate effectively what otherwise would be some quick in person chat. Also, is more complicated to be aware of what is going on in general. Non verbal communication is basically non existent and is really important to know the temperature of a meeting, for example.
Also, having a space dedicated solely for work and without distractions goes a long way.

All my jobs has been pretty average, but I know which one is the best: the one I'm currently on.
Small sized company, with a very horizontal hierarchy, effectively acting as a worker cooperative. We have really good WLB, the payment is not bad, the job is interesting and the colleges are smart.
Everyone here feels a sense of purpose in the company and push to be better, because it directly affects our payment. For that reason our priorities are mostly align with the company's which makes everything run smoothly.

Even if I can learn programming concepts in spanish or any other language, I will need to use english to communicate with my peers. Building a jargon for concepts that I cannot communicate is a lost of time. No one will understand me (maybe not even other spanish speakers) if I refer to a stack as a "pila". So yes, even with high quality content in other languagues, I stil be refering to english version.
That said, if in the future that status quo changes, and chinese dominate the programming world...well, then I'll be reading in chinese (and I will have a hard time doing so)

I think having a lingua franca have way more advantages than drawbacks.
As a spanish native speaker, I know is easier for me that for someone whose first language doesn't come from latin, but is really not much of a hassle.
Even coming from one of the most used languages in the world (and having a just enough english level), is very rare that I search of read something programming related in other language than english.

I use a Glove 80 and I don't think I'll ever change keyboard model.
I think the combo of ortholinear, concave shape and multiple buttons for the thumb skyrocket my comfort level. Also, splitted to keep my hands at shoulder width is something I really appreciate.
But I guess that the key feature (that many keyboards share) is the ability to create multiple layouts. A dedicated numpad withouth moving the hand, a symbols layer, improve a lot the typing experience. I go with classic QWERTY with some minor tweaks, and is good enough.

I guess the key difference is the amount of branches that you can make at any given level.
Calling a folder citron instead of 2, gives room to have N amount of folders at that level instead of just 10, which I think is the constrain that made this system manageable.

Southern europe, that shame may happen if you dont prioritize family, but it doesn't happen with work.
In fact I'm prone to belive that informing others that you exercise/meditate/others instantly increment the perceived "value" and successfullness. Just like dressing good, but with actual health improvements.
