That video helps explain one property one of the UFO videos (the rotation) but doesn't explain the rest. Doesn't explain the Tic Tac videos. It does not explain why these were observed on radar as well.

While some of the videos have explanation, I would kindly encourage you to look at this with more curiosity.

YOu're graphing a random walk with a single black swan event (2008 crash). A more honest graph would just have the day/night delta mapped out, not integrated in.

The response takes a long time to generate. The user could just sit there and stare at a blank response, or start reading in realtime as the response is generated.

I asked ChatGPT and it claims "It is generally not possible to "pump" entropy out of a system in the same way that it can be added to a system. This is because the second law of thermodynamics states that the total entropy of a closed system will always tend to increase over time."

I signed up for their service, was assigned a virtual agent. I did some background check on the person assigned to me and found she had stolen cc details & funds from a customer of hers in the past.

Nothing you can do when you're in the US and the person that stole from you is in the philippines.

False. Energetic costs of distributing duplicate information is significantly more expensive than local computation. Eg: measuring joules spent for decompression vs transmission is orders of magnitude over the n duplication.

I used to do the same. Told my mom to buy that ticket, and explained to her she was wrong. And that made her sad to realize.

She buys the tickets because she enjoys the pleasure of forward predictions: what will she do with the money. Go to the bahamas, buy a villa. Relax.

That forward projection means dopamine and norephedrine release -- similar to taking a drug. She enjoys that pleasure that's why she buys it.

Let's say someone decides to just take their grapes (Cotton Candy Grapes) and grow them in their farm and sell it as "Popsicle Candy".

At that point the company that originally bred the grape would sue and claim patent infringement but also for EULA contract violation, giving them additional ammunition.

If you can get additional protection by printing some text on a package, why would you not do it? They spent twelve years breeding this strain, it would suck for someone to steal it.

How exactly does a Taxi driver coordinate with guards? At what point did you discover the scheme? You were nearly blackmailed and just threw away the evidence?

I'm finally looking forward to being able to unlock the iPhone, being able to ssh into it and being able to install features and widgets that aren't just Apple provided.

Hopefully this allow more companies to then allow sideloading of their apps without the stupid app store. Software delivery has worked perfectly fine on PCs for decades. It's time the phones joined in.

It's been demonstrated already using a random circuit. Two random strings that match SHA, are practically speaking just toy examples using random useless information. There's no meaning to the numbers except that when you apply an operation to them the have the same output.

Now, instead of the random string, you have a random circuit. And the output is the goal. The random circuit is as useful to you as the random string. But using a quantum computer you can compute its state when operating. With a traditional computer it is very hard.

Just curious why does wall st and others use "Earnings per share". The number of shares is arbitrary and can be adjusted up or down by a split/reverse split or dilution.

It seems to me that EPS is just earnings divided by an arbitrary number. Why not look at operating profit as a percentage instead?

This is not the real price of oil. It's just a long squeeze -- an unfortunate side effect of the USO ETF as its rolling its holdings into the next futures contract.

Why would they do that? They don't need to send the data through the kernel, they can just IPC it to the process and use the existing telemetry stack.

Also, what gives you panic here? What more damage can they do than running in user mode? They can already access all your files, steal all your cookies etc.
