New comment by v7engine in "Ask HN: Should I learn to code in 2026?"

v7engine — Wed, 20 May 2026 03:55:33 +0000

Apart from regular coding, I now have to learn the various functionalities and features of AI Editors and concepts such as rules, skills, harness, etc. etc. Cursor seems to be different from Claude Code, and every day some or other editor is launching new concepts that I can't wrap my head around. I haven't tried claude code anytime and used only Cursor, but Claude Code terminal coding is scary.

New comment by v7engine in "How to use AI to augment learning without losing critical thinking skills?"

v7engine — Fri, 02 Jan 2026 04:29:46 +0000

I believe people will lose their critical thinking skills, when they use AI blindly. May be we should write the code for a requirement, and then ask the AI to review and suggest any optimizations, so that we could probably learn the mistakes we make.
