I think the last part really is why LKYs legacy is eulogized so heavily especially with more left leaning counterparts. In the USA there is no legacy matter for politicians, and they often scupper with one foot in the door and the other halfway out.

None of the things that LKY did that made Singapore great are unique to a dictatorship but him being the spiritual head and huge focus on education is critical. Interesting the USA has a good appetite for spending lots of money on students, but the education outcomes are really bad compared to places with half the spending

It's not even really about learning Greek or Latin as a true spoken language. It's about known the roots of the linguistics for understanding why a word is even created in the first place.

English is a really messy language but there are many simple underlying roots that can tell you what the word means with context clues after hearing it for the first time.

Also learning the International Phonetic Alphabet is probably another huge boon for comprehension, the nicer books often include IPA spelling for crazy off the rip words

BGA Reflow rework is not rocket science, How do you think the PCBA gets assembled in the first place? Its much easier if you dont care about the boards at all and with the huge die sizes on these accelerator chips its worth it to do a board swap

A refresh for a Pi Zero with real sleep. lower power consumption and moving away from GPIO would be awesome. Stuff like a dedicated i2c connector, PoE support and display over USB-C.

M5Stack and other esp32 based ecosystems rule the world for MCU so the Zero just need to be linux SOC with all the fancy bells and whistles with good driver support

Man, deepseek flash is so damn good, its pricing is insane compared to frontier models and I have found that its performance is about 80-90% of a frontier model for a literal fraction of a cost.

I swap between my phone and my computer. Sometimes I need to get an account password on a workstation, and I can just login online rather than typing several lengthy generated passwords.

Most of the workstations I use completely block USB storage devices (but not fido2 keys!)

What would be super nice is to have USB wedge that I can just send my passwords from my phone to any computer like this https://www.inputstick.com/ (Expensive, sold out and also doesn't ship to the USA)

All of the quack around identity removal is essentially null and void in the United States. Companies have literally zero legal obligation to nuke your personal data and they will happily keep whatever you provide to them on file.

Until there is serious legislation like GDRP and right to be forgotten in the United States it's a non-starter
