It’s telling the software cycle is a scam, when new major software versions slow perfectly fine machines with zero value added features.

In this field rebranding/rebadging things is very common. Cursor is no stranger, they tried to pass off Kimi 2.5 as their own awhile ago.

I delegate the sending part to a bigger third party. The MX still points to a server I control.

Have yet to face deliverability issue with this setup (Gmail, outlook)

I self host email and surprisingly do not receive any Spam (apart from the occasional cold calling support@ contact@ etc)

Those standards are adopted because they work. And they work because someone poured in tons of RnD to make them work. And those people are incentivised to do the RnD because they get paid (patents).

Nowadays nobody will want to work on foundational open source work for free only to enrich everyone else that builds on top of it.

yeah I feel the same way with Opus 5 too. If I ask it to do something, it would go ahead and rewrite unrelated things and then in a less performant version of it.

I’ve instead moved to GLM, at least it has the courtesy to ask some steps of the way what I wanted exactly and only work on what I asked.

I just set the storage to volatile and the max log size to 10Mbytes and call it a day.

Logs are really only useful at the tail.

You did not make an effort to switch and resorted to the easiest payment method.

Unionpay for example, allows clearing directly in Chinese Yuan and most Chinese native merchants accept them.

It has improved a lot since the acquisition. Before the bot purge X was basically crypto shillers or scammers. X now actually feels more organic than, Facebook. Sometimes I see content on X before they eventually gets reposted on Reddit.
