New comment by venusenvy47 in "Trump administration is suspending Microsoft from a green card program"

The article explains why Microsoft is being singled out. It couldn't be more clear that this is a personal vendetta, and nothing related to US government policy.

It's hard to believe the administration is for this for any sane reason. It's just payback for Microsoft hiring someone the government doesn't like.

I would be so afraid of breaking the disc if I ever tried to break the glass to retrieve it. Hopefully there is a mechanical engineer around when someone wants to retrieve it.

That's interesting about the questions that sound like orders. I'll have to read up on that and keep it in mind.

I don't like using Docker on a VPS because of the way it bypasses the firewall rules. It's such a pain that I avoid it altogether for anything public.

How can we find more information about when we can refuse police requests as is mentioned here? It seems like the public needs to know about when we can legally do this. "Shayhorn's supervisor informed him shortly after the arrest that he'd, in fact, illegally stopped Jones, and he therefore could not compel Jones to produce his identification"

I'm curious if the knowledge cutoff is important, when the interface (Gemini app) can search online for recent information. Is there a big advantage to having everything internal?

That looks like the options that get presented for Workspace users (like at my company). The personal Google accounts give more recent models, for some reason I don't understand.

For your setup, do you have both 3090's in parallel for the inference of the model?

Can you give advice on how to learn code? Do you perform it aurally only? Or is it worth trying to memorize the dots and dashes from a chart? https://i.imgur.com/Jw9ZdLw.jpeg

I don't have anything to compare against, since I have just started using it. But I was fairly happy with it on my personal recordings from my phone. Also, I ran it on my CPU (Core i7) and it was perfectly usable, as something to run when not using the machine for anything else.
