Just a small note, the font on your site is very annoying to read, the characters are not aligned horizontally (Windows w Chrome). Looks to be a scaling issue, if I zoom to 200% it shows fine.

Or do they?"

The other day my colleague noted that it feels like our Renovate bot triggers much more often in the repos he manages than before. That got me inspired to take a closer look, and get some data from the major package repositories. Turns out that it wasn't easy to find some "AI" effect. I'm quite surprised, AI is supposed to make us all more productive, and it certainly feels like we are!

Regardless if the exponential trend the author writes about is correct or not, I do think the cost of AI is reversing the trend for coding. For quite some time the tools we used have become cheaper and cheaper and more avaliable than before. Nowadays compilers, IDEs and other tools are increasingly open source or at least free or very cheap. But with AI its no longer the case.
I wrote more about this in a blog, at https://www.viblo.se/posts/ai-hobbycoding/

A good question! Both I would say. There's a reason people pirated Photoshop.
Not everyone will want to automate the coding of course. But if I'm dreaming of becoming a game dev and like writing games in the evenings after class, I for sure want the best tools I can find.
If I'm working as a shop assistant, but are intertested in coding and dream of a dev job, then it will help if I can use the same tools as professionals use.
If I want to contribute to open source, but all easy beginner tasks are automated away, or are 10x as difficult without an AI, then maybe I will give up.
If my friend writes a Minecraft mod supported by AI, but I can't, then I might never become interested in coding in the first place.
And so on, there are many ways this can play out.

MAJORITY | Stockholm Sweden | ONSITE Full Time | Backend C#/.NET developer
Hi Everyone!
MAJORITY is a fintech focused on digital financial services for immigrants in the US. We provide things like a Visa debit card, money transfers, mobile top-ups and much more! And compared to many others we allow users without Social Security to use our banking services.
In contrast to many other companies we do our product development from our office in Stockholm, Sweden (we use a hybrid model, meaning if you are not already in Stockholm you would need to relocate.
We have a Microsoft stack, with C#/.Net6 hosted in AKS in Azure, with Azure SQL Server. Its microservices but very consistently built with common libraries for most non-businesslogic like logging, controllers, messaging etc.
Personally I think it would be great to find someone with deep SQL Server experience (or other SQL DBs), since we are a bit thin in this department. But generally any experienced .Net developers are very welcome!
See https://www.majority.com/en/company/career

There are a couple of different ways the union might "fight" (not sure of the english term). They can block things physically, like standing around the shop to prevent people in/out. They can also expand the strike outside Teslas shops, for example to transportation companies supplying parts to Tesla etc.
Given how core this question is to the Swedish Unions and Sweden in general, I expect it would be very easy to get support for many wide-reaching actions both from other unions and from the public. (For example, there's no minimum salary in Sweden, instead the companies & unions are supposed to handle it)
Here's a reasonable description (google translated) about what might happen: https://www-svensktnaringsliv-se.translate.goog/sakomraden/a...
