A similar thing happened to me back in the day when Wi-Fi was still new.
I joined an open network and it turned out to be a law firm. All their computers were on a Samba network with full C: drives shared.
I wrote README.txt files on their drives telling them about the issue, but after some time it was still the same.
Then I went directly to the place to talk to them and also with the idea I could land my first job fixing that mess. But... They got incredibly angry with me, since they claimed they had some very good and expensive contractors taking care of their computers and network, and that I had basically broken in.
I left the place quickly...

I made a small game where you are given a word that you have to draw and the AI guesses what are you drawing.
It uses gemini flash 2.5 via API but also works with local models. I had very good results with mistral/pixtral 12b.

Hey HN,
I built Story Relay, a digital version of "Broken Telephone" where an LLM and an image generator pass a story back and forth.
The loop is simple: Text Prompt →→ Image Generation →→ Vision Model Description →→ New Text Prompt.
Curious to hear your thoughts!

Hi HN,
I’m currently building "LLMParty," a project where I release a new LLM experiment every two days in December (sort of like a coding advent calendar).
Today’s experiment is WanderWorld. It’s an interactive map where you can search for locations using natural language.
The Tech:
The core mechanic relies on forcing the LLM to output a specific JSON schema containing coordinates (lat/long). I found that by strictly enforcing the output structure, even smaller, self-hosted models are surprisingly good at geography.
What makes it fun:
While it handles standard queries ("Where is Paris?"), it really shines with abstract requests. You can ask for "places that smell like candy" or "best places to see horses" and it maps them out instantly. (don't expect something accurate! :)
I’d love to hear what weird queries you try and if the coordinates hold up!

Hi HN! I've been working on a series of small experiments that use LLMs under the hood.
For the first one, I made a typical chatbot UI but with a twist: you can enable a mode that writes the user interactions on your behalf. Peak laziness!

The point of the white noise in TRT is not masking the tinnitus so it is not played loud.
The white noise must be played below the level of the tinnitus, so one can hear both sounds simultaneously. Doing so, in theory, the brain learns to reclassify the tinnitus as an unimportant signal (noise).

I started having tinnitus in both ears 10 months ago.
I don't know the exact cause, but I started noticing it during a job-related burnout and a series of work-related events that significantly increased my stress levels.
It was so bad to the point I had to abruptly quit my job (FYI, freelancing without a safety net sucks).
My doctor gave me pills to help calm my brain and the noise, especially during the night. I also have hypersensitivity, so having a constant noise ringing was not ideal :/
Luckily my ENT doctor recommended that I do multiple things at the same time:

    - tinnitus retraining therapy (TRT), listening to white noise ~4 hours a day
    - going to a therapist
    - daily meditation
    - daily exercise
    - reducing salt, chocolate, coffee, etc.

The hissing is still there, but I can now ignore it most of the time.
I started to see life a bit differently since then.
Things that disrupt your life can happen so suddenly...
I'm still trying to find a job, but I lost a lot of confidence and developed a bit of a trauma since I don't want to experience burnout again :/

I'm working on a series of "fun experiments" that use LLMs under the hood.
Some are small tech jokes, while others were born from curiosity to see how LLMs would behave in specific scenarios and interactions.
I also tried to use this collection of experiments as a way to land a new job, but I'm starting to realize it might not be serious enough :)
Happy to hear what you think!
https://llmparty.pixeletes.com

Hi! I'm looking for a job that makes me feel good with what I'm doing. I am a full stack dev & Interaction designer — inventive and creative.
I've been really curious about how to use LLMs beyond the typical chatbot experience.
