Can't say for GCP and Azure. But I run two small projects on AWS, with monthly billings of $8k and $150 respectively. I have always received very good support to any requests that I have made on both projects.

Just to give you an opposite perspective...I was a long time Kubuntu / KDE Neon user (almost 10 years) and shifted to Gnome couple of years back (Ubuntu 22.04), now running 24.04. It's been very stable and out of the way. I am not sure why people are complaining about UI, for me it's barely visible on my two screens. All open-source and proprietary apps I use run well and without glitch. It took me an hour to get used to the "Gnome" way when I shifted.

Yup, I have had similar experience too. Not only for coding, but just yesterday, I was asking Gemini to compose an email with a list of attachments, which I had specified as a list of file paths in the prompt, and it wasn't able to count correctly and report in the email text (the text went something like, there are charts attached). Claude 3.7 was able to do that correctly in one go.

I face none of the issues on my Samsung S23 phone, which the parent commentator describes - no issues in phones calls (I make 4-5 calls daily, mix of WhatsApp & regular calls), no major issues in Google Keep (which I use 2-3 times daily, specially never of a note becoming "blank"), and again no major issues in the Google App Store or updates (which I use on an average once a week).

So maybe, the software quality varies by user experience rather than one platform being universally better.

My recurring payment for ChatGPT (USD 20 + GST) is working fine with SBI credit card.

Spotify and similar which have Indian presence work good of course (with SBI as well as ICICI cards).

I do have a Jetbrains subscription, but I can't verify if the subscription still works, because I got a 3Y one during one of their promos and it's still active.

Others in the thread have already provided explanations of the features, but I would like to highlight how I personally utilize KDE Activities as a use case. I rely on it to create dedicated spaces for different projects or clients, complete with their own distinct virtual desktops and settings. This functionality has been invaluable to me, particularly when sharing screens with individuals involved in specific projects. This separation of tasks and switching between them is pretty seamless.

This is somewhat inaccurate. They use SQLAlchemy in the tutorial, but FastAPI is in no way tied to SQLAlchemy.

Sorry for somewhat unrelated query: is Digikam a replacement for Darktable? If not what's a good workflow between the two? I am a hobbyist photo taker and have only recently started using Darktable and really enjoy using it. However, it isn't a very efficient photo manager in my opinion (I may very well be missing something).

ranger [1] is not mentioned yet. I had never used a console based file manager prior to starting using this 3 months back and I have stopped using Dolphin (I am on KDE) now.
