I think it's currently non-selfhostable. You can host your own git server (knot) and CI runner (spindle) but not really the UI/API itself, but they're working on changing it. Currently it's a bit centralised

Hello all, been trying to switch away from Claude Code and have been trailing this:
- Harness: Opencode (via Openchamber)
- Subscription: GitHub Copilot (50$)
- API Usage (beyond subscription): Open router
- Free models: Opencode go
Here's the models I've trialed and like:
- Large (alternative to Opus): GPT 5.3 Codex
- Medium (alternative to Sonnet): Minimax 2.7
- Smol: GPT 5.4 mini
these models are not yet on par to their respective Claude alternatives for me, but maybe I need to switch to something else or tune them, what have you been using?
Also looking for nice Opencode plugins, skills, completion providers (alternative to Cursor that I could use with Zen).
Happy to hear about your choices and experience

Hello everyone. So a while ago I stumbled upon Shopify's Polaris, which is a React UI framework. It seemed like a nice project overall, and while I appreciate it being an open source project (they didn't have to do that), it has a weird licence which is basically a modified version of the MIT licence but with a clause that prevents competitive usage.
Now, the other interesting bit is that the project also has a Contributor Licence Agreement (CLA) which also seems to provide all copyright to Shopify. I don't really understand how these legal stuff work in software, but I heard that CLAs have been used in the past to profit off contributors by moving to another proprietary licence (MongoDB and Elastisearch did that)
Then do you (developers on HN) stay away from CLAs? It doesn't sound too risky for me, and I've probably listened to one too many open source activists.
Another question, if I may, would it be possible to relicense a fork of Polaris to MIT (removing the Shopify clause?)

I have a Next.js app too, and it takes about 1m30 to deploy. it really takes longer to build when your app gets larger, and if I'd had to rebuilt the app focusing on build time, I'd probably go with Remix
(note this is with Vercel's [proprietary] build cache, it takes longer when there's no build cache)
