I agree.

To be precise, the tool and the artist are two different things. You can make crap with brushes or PS, and you can make art too.

AI is a tool too. What I build with it is orders of magnitude less important/interesting compared to what a talented artist can build with it.

Not to mention that I can also tell when a poster has been generated using Photoshop and not real artist tools, like brushes and pens. I've seen a lot of these Photoshop-generated posters, and they are in no way comparable to something DaVinci or Picasso would create.

Who said we're building them because we have to? I like TUIs, and often prefer them over GUIs, depending on the case.

I don't mind. May even be better, since you get WiFi.

The hard part is the casing/keyboard/screen that replicates the original, but offers modern connectors, power consumption, etc.

I would love to have a VT220 replica: same size/feeling, a real keyboard, just text. I would even be fine with RS232, but tbh USB or WiFi would make my life much easier.

Is anyone selling something like this?

And now that I think of it. IMAP (more or less) allows you to download your mbox file. Why downloading using HTTP is so much worst (it isn't) than using IMAP?

email was working long before there was IMAP. If you want your "keys", you have to be able to download your mbox file (which is possible in hey).
