Hey, unrelated to the question you're answering but where do I see the rate limits for free and paid tiers?

Sounds like a mobile-vs-desktop issue, since the error mentions TouchEvent. The Firefox error fires even when just hovering the cursor over the PDF in View mode, and text is also not selectable.
While I'm here, a suggestion to add Undo/Redo; yes HN, I know I could make a PR..

For app integration, the annotations, shapes, and comments are a game changer. Once you need real PDF markup tools, your options are either building them yourself or using a subscription-based PDF editor - neither comes cheap.
I know teams that integrated Apryse, and the costs just to support basic PDF editing are eye-watering.

Things like the below are precisely why I would not only bet on Google failing but silently hope that they do.

Sorry, Gemini Advanced isn't available for you

Gemini Advanced is not yet available in some countries, for work accounts, or for users under a certain age.

Rant:
No explanation, no suggested alternative; just an ominous "Learn More" button that sends you barreling down the spiraling rabbit hole of support.google.com. Diving deeper, I uncovered that 's accessibility is limited to personal accounts under Google One with the sole Workspace option being for Google Workspace Individual(??).
On my personal account I can sign up for Gemini Advanced by upgrading my Google One account to Google One AI Premium.
As a standard Google Workspace account holder, I was directed towards Gemini for Workspace but naturally that is still branded as Duet AI for Workspace..
And naturally I have to request a trial and be contacted by a Google team member even though it has been announced as being generally available..
It's a microcosm of the broader frustrations with Google's approach to product development and user engagement that we've come to expect - hyped product launches with restricted availability, arbitrary limitations, and a consistently-confused product ecosystem.

None of the emails or announcements provided a link to the pricing page and the link to it isn't found on either the kagi.com homepage when logged in or the billing page.
In fact this is the first time I'm seeing a link to the pricing page.
Ironically, even searching "Kagi.com pricing" on Google doesn't bring up that page. Maybe if I could still use Kagi to search for that term...

Also, while I don't expect early adopters to be rewarded, it would have been a nice touch to offer them a discount or a grace period.

None of the announcements or even the billing page makes mention of what the "limited free tier" offers.
They should have been explicit in saying that it was going to be limited to "X searches per month" especially since it was going to be so restrictive at 50

I have to agree with the sentiments regarding Kagi.
I've been primarily using Kagi search since signing up for the private beta in April. Today, without warning, I was suddenly unable to use it.
It seems that with the launch of the public beta today, I was immediately switched to the free tier and limited to 50 searches for the month! That limit was obviously reached within just a few hours.
Bear in mind that I've been using it as my primary search engine across all platforms for the past 1½ months and all of sudden my latest search result returns a request for payment..
