A few months ago I tried a new JBL receiver. It was trash (the worst I have tried and I tried 5 or 6 different ones for my room). I also saw their soundbar and their vintage speakers. I wouldn’t agree that JBL makes quality products, but that is just my experience.

I had a situation recently that a business partner I was interacting with on several projects ended up indicted (nothing related to our projects, some other shady stuff that he was doing). I found out about that accidentally, but then searching the Internet a bit, I easily found that I could know that something is happening months or even years ago.
This event made me wonder if there is a service where I can put in a few company names, or personal names (business leaders), and get updated if something new pops up in news. Similarly to how news aggregators work: "I'm interested in pop culture", but way more granular, for example: "I'm interested in a band Superorganism".
Anyone know some service that solves this problem?

Email. All my notes, plans, todos, reminders (via snooze/send later) are in the email. I also use calendar to keep the family in sync. My current "life database" (i.e. inbox) is on the iCloud (like everything else, so it is good for Legacy Contact, when I pass away), though it was in google workspaces before and it can be on anything else in the future (including self-hosted server).

I was wondering what are the advantages of having a GitHub Copilot vs having a ChatGPT window pinned in your browser (or on the second screen), besides that CoPilot is there in your IDE. Is it more likely to produce a working or better code, that is in line with what you already have in the solution? Is there any research that proves that?

I was looking for a platform that runs Playwright test scripts in an automated way to check if the web application is working as expected (similar to Pingdom checks), but also to be able to run a load test (similar to flood.io, which actually does use Playwright under it's Element scripting engine). Anyone aware of such tool?

Seeing fellow programmers left and right switching to dark mode and everyone seems very happy. I gave it a try a few times but it just doesn't work. I can't focus.
It is not the time that I need to get used to a different syntax highlighting scheme because I switch between editors all the time. I'm perfectly fine as long as the background is lighter than the foreground, so it has to do something with the dark mode itself.
Is it that I have to give it more time (so I can stop noticing that "something is wrong"), or simply it doesn't work for some people? And if so, what am I losing (reduced eye fatigue, better sleep...)?
