Brian’s diligent effort in this field has been inspiring to me, glad to see this piece marking the milestone. I have found this blog to be one of the few consistent paragons of the infosec world that seems unconcerned with the salaciousness of threats, which predominate others’ coverage. Are there other, similar havens in the community that focus on as much technical detail?

my six year old model 3 with 60,000 miles on it doesn’t do anything I don’t tell it to- this sounds like user error. I wouldn’t report user error either.

Fascinating to see such clear ramifications of allowing religious beliefs to creep into the outcome of successful product expansion. I wonder if they will make any attempt to overcome this image in the future, or instead focus inwardly and try to continue engaging the existing customer base more frequently to pursue growth.

Could it be at all related to the circuit-breaking behavior that nginx describes[1] in some of their reference architecture? Unclear to me which (if any) of these properties might be in play for this test.

I'm in the same boat and also raced motorcycles around closed circuit racetracks in sanctioned events so I understand the draw. I have 25k miles on my '18 Model 3 now and can't imagine going back to even the best gas car I ever drove. It's just apples and oranges. Both have a special place in my heart but I'll take the EV nine times out of ten these days! Anybody on the fence should just give it a whirl and see for yourself!

I could not agree more with this comment. As a fellow owner it's astonishing how much is incorrectly attributed to the brand instead of the operators of the vehicles in this kind of writing.
