the biggest mistake is thinking the rising revenue share of services adds diversification and makes Apple less dependend on iPhone revenue because barely anyone would choose Apple services if they didn't have an iPhone.

more important than a proxy is having an alternative to google because it is crazy how much they censor search results. just add brave search as a secondary.

I thought about doing that as well. Currently I use Doppler but I wanted to add meta data from Wikipedia to create an experience similar to what Roon offers. It should also have more automation like auto-generated daily playlists and the like so your local library feels more alive and let's you rediscover things.

I'd assume it's 'references', i.e. which school you went to, which university you went you, who you know/who knows you

Justifying their behaviour with 'addiction' makes them completely unresponsible for their actions. If that's the case you'd have to declare them incompetent for doing business and assign them an agent.

The problem I have with 16GB as a upgrade is that the base model is widely available and often on sale. 16GB does exist as preconfigured option, but it is a lot harder to come by. It's mainly sold as BTO, which means you have to pay full price. That makes that extra 8GB of RAM ridiculously expensive. I mean it's already ridiculously expensive, but the fact that base models sell with huge discounts increases it even further. I will NEVER EVER pay for this upgrade out of sheer principle. I'd rather switch to another system.

That's what every sensible businessman does in the early years of a new venture. It's only a stark contrast to the avera social media personality who takes out as much as they can early on to fund car leases, rent for fancy homes and designer brand clothes.
