I'm the founder of Boot.dev and I was doing my regular "what's going on in my industry" research - searching through Google trends, and was baffled by this.
I'm not sure what on earth is driving the sudden spike in Python learning resource searching

Yeah I think there's some nuance. As a relatively experienced dev I still use autocomplete when using a new language, but I think it's different when you already have a strong grasp of coding fundamentals. Learning your 3rd or fourth language when you already understand the constructs is much different than baby's first for loop

one thing to keep in mind is the video you linked is the _walkthrough_ of the course, the actual course itself is probably what you're looking for, because it moves at a much more reasonable pace

Boot.dev | Senior Course Producer (Full Time, Remote)
We’re building the smartest way to master backend development by tackling the hardest problem with e-learning: boredom. We’re a small team of developers who love to make the process of learning as fun and hands-on as it can be. We are looking for a course producer and editor to help us create more programming and computer science courses on Boot.dev!
If you’re a highly technical developer with a love for teaching, this could be the perfect role for you! Your main responsibility will be to work with course authors and our in-house engineering team to produce new high-quality interactive courses on the Boot.dev learning platform. Our courses are highly engaging with coding challenges and quizzes along the way. They are mostly written (in Markdown), however, each course also typically includes 5-10 explainer videos that our in-house animators and editors help create visuals for.
Please see the official job description before applying: https://blog.boot.dev/careers/
More about Boot.dev: https://www.boot.dev
To apply: lane@boot.dev

I've had the chance to interact with both Preston and Clyde (Preston helped Clyde get going in code as well) - Clyde actually completed like all the backend courses on boot dev and is doing great at unlocked labs.
anyhow, thanks for all you did to help Clyde Preston!!! and thanks to glauber and turso for giving Preston a chance, he's such a a cool guy with such a cool story

I've published a lot of interactive programming courses on Boot.dev over the last few years, but the issue that's been plaguing the platform is how quickly it moves through material.
Like we give people challenges for each new concept, but we don't give them 4 or 5 challenges for each new concept. It's hard to get right because
1. It's a lot of work to make challenges/review material
2. Every student wants a different amount of practice/review
So anyways I think we've got a really good solution in the works, been cooking on it this week and we're hoping to be ready to go live in August
