Lugging around laptop batteries is exactly the same thing as lugging around power banks, except laptop batteries don't require a dongle and a cable to tether you to a table.

Laptop batteries mean you laptop can continue to in fact work from your lap.

Lots of people try to scam repair shops bringing broken phones in.

On top of that repairs can often break fingerprint scanner connections and depending on the screen type its good to check camera functionality after screen replacement.

You can easily pay people a fair market wage and still produce a profit by exploiting the planet or even just market inefficiencies.

The Marxist view assumes that if there is profit it should be shared between workers for their labour.

This view completely ignores the costs and risks involved with capital expenditures.

I don't really do fanboyism, currently own Mac, windows, Linux, Intel, amd, android, iPhone, switch and PlayStation.

I just use what I use but I don't get so attached, apple has been lacking for years. M1 is ok but honestly it feels like they've only just caught up to everyone else.

I saw a lot of kids go on to higher education only to mostly waste it. They were there because their parents made them, not because they wanted to be there.

I worked for a year before going to uni, after that, I really wanted to be there. Working sucked. I wanted a better job. When I hit uni, I was extremely motivated to learn.

Multiple cradle of civilization level sites were flooded with not enough funding or effort given to excavating these sites thoroughly before flooding.

If they start wasting their time there I'll take them out, they can work or go to Polytech.

If they are using their time wisely they can stay.

It really doesn't make much sense to go an alternative route unless you need to.

Governments are completely run by monetary expenditure.

You don't spend all your budget cause you savy? Great, we'll put that money with someone else next year.

Spend all your money on junk? Great we'll give you more money next year because you clearly need it.

What needs to happen is to decouple monetary spend from incentives.

Incentivise saving money and use escape hatches to protect budgets from fluctuations (saving one year might not be recurring, this shouldn't affect your spend next year)

Maybe it's time it should be.

Often times there really isn't much more to be said than just do the thing, but there are better ways of saying it, this, is one of them.
