<p>Is it me or is Google's UI & graphic design becoming more and more childish (and boring at the same time) with every move they make? Not a fan. 
And: the Google Sans font family looks just so annoyingly "whimsical" and outdated to me.</p>

<p>They did not seem to succeed very well. On my M1 iPad Air and iPhone 12 mini background YT playback works mostly fine via Brave, although you might have to go to full screen first before you enter background mode.</p>

<p>This might be an open door, but I use the amazing HN-reader app called Hack which offers a filter that hides posts via a list of keywords you can manage. Of course some false negatives happen this way, but I don't mind about that.</p>

<p>I just ignore all the smart features and never connect my smart TV to the internet, and I disconnected the WiFi antennas from the main board. I use an Apple TV to feed it live TV, series and movies via apps.</p>

On top of that the production of AC's is also a factor, and there is the spilling of the refrigerant liquids that only recently became much less damaging.</p>

<p>Wait... aren't AC's one of the prevalent causes of global warming, so in effect partly causing more heat related deaths? 
And what about stress caused by noise pollution from AC's? 
I think we need less units - not more.</p>
