It’s my daily news driver and the app I am spending most time in. Have to find ways to limit the amount of sources, though. FOMO is a factor.
Only annoying thing, but I guess out of this app‘s influence is that the embedded safari doesn‘t use the Adblock plugin. AFAIK that’s an iOS/Safari restriction. This leads to huge amount of ads on same pages I open directly in the app. Any clues maybe?

Isn’t Communism the original here? It’s often claimed that all historic attempts to establish Communism don’t work cause it wasn’t done in the right way.
In all seriousness, this pattern is probably hard to avoid in any reasonably complex entity/environment. If any such situation would be solved in a global solution (aka silver bullet), it would be used by everyone. As this seems not possible, any framework like Agile, Communism, … can only be a guidance to be applied locally, and broken internally and by external factors in many ways

Skipped through the first pages and I really like your approach. Avoiding to use „magic“ libraries which abstract away a lot of the intricacies the lower levels is helping with the understanding.
I started my journey to develop my own little OS (https://github.com/jbreu/jos ) based on phil opperman‘s tutorial but quickly diverged from his exactly due to his use of such libraries.

Thought about zero-copy IPC recently. In order to avoid memcopy for the complete chain, I guess it would be best if the sender allocates its payload directly on the shared memory when it’s created. Is this a standard thing in such optimized IPC and which libraries offer this?

YouTube settings are notoriously volatile even on the same device and being logged in. Subtitles are enabled every other day all of a sudden without any need (even for my natural language content).
Since they rolled out the auto-trabslation thing the same happens, I have to switch to original English every few days.
