It is easy to overdo it and torpedo relationships. Relationships are build from small interactions and when you refuse to do communication that is not strictly necessary, they just wont build. A lot of that "useless" communication has social purpose - it allows people to learn in initiate connections without putting large stakes on it. When you stop engaging, they will stop engaging and it all, well, stops.

So, insurance claims are handled by people who operate in different legal system and by unaccountable undererministic system. And people are pressured to perform fast.

This is not about "automating complex task". This is about "create accountability sink for fraud we want them to do and create system that will perform said fraud".

Parents are not expected to follow the kid home from school and watch it every second. Parents are expected to have general talk about drugs.

Oh yeah, and it is illegal to maket smoking to kids. Meanwhile, facebook spends billions on A/B testing increasingly sophisticated addiction builders ... and you expect the kids and parents to just be able to win over it with no support.

And I want them to behave in a decent way, but universe does not ensure we get what we want.

They should be forced to build a grid in a way that does not speeds up global warming. What they want should be irrelevant.

Of course AI companies should respect the rest of society. And of course non-ai interests should by protected.

They can stop doing a thing they claim should be regulated. You dont need to be regulated and forced to do the thing you consider right, especially when you are the primary one collecting the money to do the bad thing.

They could train ai for pro-social purposes, they dont here. They could make it useful for worker, they intentionally try to harm workers. And then pretend "it just happened".

And making a game is not all that much more fun anyway. A lot of that work is plain boring.

Fun software project and flashy outcome are two different things.
