I personally can’t wait for programming to ‘die’. It has stolen a decade of my life minimum. Like veterinarians being trained to help pets ultimately finding out a huge portion of the job is killing them. I was not sufficiently informed that I’d spend a decade arguing languages, dealing with thousands of other developers with diverging opinions, legacy code, poorly if at all maintained libraries, tools, frameworks, etc if you have been in the game at least a decade please don’t @. Adios to programming as it was (happily welcoming a new DIFFERENT reality whatever that means). Nostalgia is for life, not staring at a screen 8hrs a day

Please. Don't mention apple and AI in the same sentance. Siri is worse than zero, it is utterly absolutely useless. And to partner with OpenAI. They have to get their S** in order here and fast, but if I put out a product like Siri I would be INSANELY embarrassed. If I was a trillion-dollar company and did, I would resign in discrace.

It's good that this is in this thread, as I bet a ton of power users (I check HN multiple times a day for years but likely only a time or two have glossed over the FAQ), did not know FLAG could be used as a downvote tool. Interesting choice by PG, I agree with the previous comment, we have all come to know FLAG as a violation tool on most platforms. Now we know.

I tried with the Chinese in the app and a lot of times at timed out, or went exceedingly fast, I see the snail, but it might seem like cart before the horse to do full Chinese sentences for a beginner. Maybe not and this is proven I'm not sure, but I can say that you act needs some slight tweaks, especially always the pronunciation over top of the Chinese characters. What's the point of serving a chat bubble with Chinese characters to a person that is just learning Chinese? Maybe even the English translation below the Chinese characters and the Chinese pronunciation above. This has huge promise though

Your description/headline make as if it's an installable shell for building a program on various OS, which it is not.
