I just tune out. It’s not worth knowing, following every development in the field. If something works now it will probably work in 8 months even if it’s no longer the new hype thing. Who cares.

Not using any of it is also a valid option though it doesn’t satisfy your FOMO. But nothing ever will.

Does that Declaration give you an inalienable right to do anything you please? I doubt it. As the old saying goes, your freedom stops where someone else’s freedom starts.

Or in Seinfeld speak, “we live in a society!!!”

Have to consider others not just oneself. That’s the price of freedom and being responsible about it.

The alternative is a nanny state or anarchy.

I don’t know how it is all around the world but where I live, the photography is part of the whole packaged wedding plan and there’s no choice/option BUT to use one, guaranteeing their (expensive) service and job, regardless of what people can produce on their own.

OTOH, it’s probably better to have someone neutral there who can take pics rather than eat/drink/cry and whatever else people do at weddings ;)

You can still run Arch, and Ubuntu Asahi also exists. (1)

They’re working hard on upstreaming everything exactly so it’s easier for any distribution to be ported.
