I built this for my company email, but instead of sending captchas it puts non-customer emails into a folder that I never read. Emails from customers and contacts get into my inbox, and get labeled based on their support subscription level.

Most tech companies I've seen gate and filter customer support on web not email, then only sales and external interfacing employees need external emails and the bigger problem is phishing not spam.

For my personal email I would never use this, because I myself would never solve a captcha to reach someone's inbox and I can't expect different from others.

Does a change-password registry actually get used, even by bots? I don't see bots checking for a .well-known/change-password url on my sites. It seems a good place to put public configs, just to have a place for them, but not as a means of discovery.

Three real-world issues I've run into recently with PgBouncer + Postgres are:

1. pool exhaustion from idle connections inside open long-running transactions

2. SQLAlchemy's client-side pool using dead connections that PgBouncer had already killed, causing periodic request errors

3. Some tasks have to bypass PgBouncer when they use SET or prepared statements

I've already sharded large datasets at the application layer, but looks like PgDog solves the above problems for any future work?

Don't forget the original PgBouncer. Hard to setup, but with the help of AI these days it's easier to configure.

I don't care about raising prices, I'm worried about the new CEO having a PE mindset. That means Bitwarden will now focus on extracting value while the product stagnates and degrades in quality. Time to jump ship before their security and quality goes down the drain.

Hi HN, I built WakaTime 13 years ago before AI. Things have changed a lot since then, and the time you spend typing in your IDE isn't as valuable as it used to be...

That's why I built a new WakaTime dashboard specifically for AI metrics. It tracks things like:

* Lines of code - AI vs. Human

* Average Prompt Length over time - How much context do you give AI

* Follow-up Edit Rate - How many times do you have to edit/fix the code AI generated

* Token usage over time - Input and Output tokens

It does this for most popular agents (Cursor, Claude, Codex, Copilot, Gemini, etc.)

If you already use WakaTime plugins, you should have AI data since last week. If not, install one of the WakaTime official plugins (https://wakatime.com/plugins) then edit your ~/.wakatime/wakatime-internal.cfg to change the ai_heartbeats_last_parsed_at to some date in the past and it will backfill your AI stats since that date. By default it only backfills a few minutes from plugin install.

Your kids need to learn how to clean up after themselves.

All you need is a camera pointing at the floor with image detection... when there's legos on the floor it triggers a video playing that explains how the kids need to pick up the legos. /s

So for my own notes, removing a phone number from my Google account before travel will risk account suspension. Hope OP resolves it, but also need to make sure this never happens to me.

If I have an in-person community that's non-tech it's enough for me to only have an online tech community. That's how it was for me growing up, and it would be great to have that again.
