Is that still the case on Linux as well?
I'm on FreeBSD and yes there's still many bugs and nasties in Wayland. It works technically but it's not great, at least alongside KDE.
But I thought on Linux it was a lot further along now.

oobe\bypassnro it is.
But there's been some talk about them removing it though there was a more cryptic one as a replacement. Still seems to work on recent versions though.

Yeah I love KDE especially because it doesn't force a certain look and feel, it's super configurable out of the box and even more if you install themes and plugins (which I don't even do).

the thing is with these CRT emulators is that they always look so over-artifacted. I looked at CRTs for a big part of my life and they didn't actually look like this. Maybe if you took a photo of them, but not in full motion.
With real CRTs you don't notice the scanlines so much due to interlacing at double the frame rate. And they are kinda fuzzy so they're not so clear anyway.
I wonder if a really fast, say 240Hz display could simulate this better somehow.

Another easy workaround:
1. Install Linux with KDE
2. Turn on weather report widget
3. Enjoy :)
PS: You've also solved the mandatory account requirement, adds all over the OS, "Copilot" everywhere, Edge constantly coming back and much more <3

I'm not surprised. Everything Microsoft makes is web tech now.
And this isn't really new either, they've been pushing for everything web tech since the 90s no less. Remember Active Desktop?

Wow I hope this is true. This can only be good for the world.
I'm sure AI will still come but it is too disruptive now. It needs a slowdown. As usual all the greedy investors are to blame.
