<p>Full disk encryption protects from somebody yanking a hard drive from running server (actually happens) or stealing a laptop. Calling it useless because it doesn't match your threat model... I hate todays security people, can't threat model for shit.</p>

<p>Win11 barely works with 4GB. Like, you can have a browser with youtube on and that's it, 90%+ memory usage. I know because that is one of my media PC (instead of smart tv).<p>Can't move to Linux because it's Intel Atom and Intel P-state driver for that is borked, never fixed.</p>

<p>In this case it would have been best to allow customer to get his product back not-replaced/not-repaired so he could seek other options, like repair. It is likely that only one of the sticks was bad, and a single good stick is worth 2x refund price. Buying a single not matching stick would have been better than this.</p>
