<p>This happened to my old framework. After a while of troubleshooting, I removed the battery and it will now boot reliably while plugged in. The replacement batteries aren't terribly expensive, so I'll probably buy a new one soon.</p>

<p>It really depends on the battery chemistry of the specific EV, how many watts you charge at, and deep cycle vs. shallow cycle. Not all EV batteries will hold up to that many charge-discharge cycles.<p>Even at that, 100,000 cycles is an exaggeration. From what I can tell, you can expect up to 3000 cycles from Nickel Manganese Cobalt batteries before they hit 80% of original capacity. <p>I had a close relative diagnosed with multiple myeloma 25+ years ago (I don't remember the exact year) who only lived for a couple more years. It was rough back then. I'm really glad to hear that there is much better treatment these days.</p>
