personally, I’ve had some great experiences with my Ooni/Uuni ovens over the past 6 years or so. It’s a great small business story too.
Currently on a Koda-16 which gets up to 900f in about 20 mins, yet is so well insulated - 45 minutes later there’s still snow sitting on top of it. A pizza usually takes about 90-120 seconds for me.
The thermal mass is important - the pizza stone at the bottom on this model is thicker than my last one, and while I could cook several pizzas, the ones in the middle took longer because I didn’t let the stone heat up again after the last pizza. Noticeable difference if there was no “rest time” between pizzas. Some friends have tried “metal pizza stones” which also retain heat really well (like 1/4” steel plate type of thing) apparently works well in hone ovens.
I use mine also to sear sous vide steaks. Works out fantastic.

Just curious - why not use Matternost as a backup? (disclosure: I work at Mattermost, but really just want to know what you think)
I’ve advocated for an idea where Mattermost is to be used as a “bunker” where it is hosted on a raspberry Pi (or somewhere else) and acts as a digital bunker if your critical infrastructure (slack, teams, exchange?) is compromised somehow.

I agree - like only show a persons face AFTER you’ve connected somehow (I agree we’re hardwired to recognize faces - but I don’t want to try to recognize all the people as I’m browsing etc. - but when they become part of my Rolodex, then I wanna recognize their faces)

The best part of this story for me is that I had watched Connections with my brother so long ago, I simply assumed James Burke was dead for a while now. I’m really pleasantly surprised he’s still kicking around!

I’m an experienced Product Manager with over 10 years of experience in the B2B SaaS marketing technology space. I’ve worked extensively with Sales, marketing and CS to launch successful products and features (created new products that now deliver $6m ARR, managed a $22m ARR product) as well as acting as a technical resource for large enterprise deals. My background is customer success and moved into PM, but I’ve launched API’s and am fairly technical, but no CS degree. After working remotely for several years and managing some team members during that time - I’m looking for my next gig. Head of Product or some such title - but am willing to be an Individual Contributor too.
BUT, despite this experience - Product Management is viewed as a core function in a business - there is clearly some bias against it being a remote position in many companies. I get it. Well, at least I’ve heard that objection often enough.I’d really like to stay located where I am with my family, it’s much more affordable than the bay Area and is about 2.5 hours away. There's no local tech-scene really.
I’m starting to give up on finding a remote product gig and was wondering if anyone had successfully transitioned from PM to another role that they enjoyed doing remotely.

Sadly, very recently a friend of mine's therapist suggested he overcome his fear of flying and having less control.
Granted it is a small plane, but it crashed. Of my friends, 1 is paralysed and the other is dead. The pilot is dead too.
I've always wanted to take some aerial photos, but now I'm having second thoughts about being in a small plane. I have no reservations about getting on a jumbo jet though.

Slightly related - but gives me a chance to tell this story.
Recently, I stayed at an AirbNb with many great reviews. The guy asked me to NOT leave a review ("We already have lots of good ones"). His issue - the reviews are used by the county to see how often their place is being rented out.

Another Book, but from 2003, which is good to have in printed format when the internets stops working locally: U.S. Armed Forces Nuclear, Biological And Chemical Survival Manual -- http://a.co/0nKTR76
And, a good item not generally available locally - but is a simple, inexpensive and important remedy after an attack (keep in mind fallout may travel by wind hundreds of miles) is having some potassium iodide pills. Edit: get one pack per person you're trying to protect - each person needs 10 pills (1 per 24 hours for 10 days) -- http://a.co/eOmNJ8Z
"Iosat Potassium Iodide has been FDA approved since 1982. Stockpiling of potassium iodide (KI) is highly recommended by health officials worldwide to prevent thyroid cancer of those exposed to radioactive iodine following a nuclear reactor accident or detonation of a nuclear weapon. Radioactive iodine can travel hundreds of miles downwind, such as it did after the Chernobyl and Fukushima disasters. The thyroid is the only part of the body that absorbs and stores iodine. By taking FDA approved potassium iodide prior to exposure of radioactive iodine, your thyroid will become saturated with safe, stable iodine. This will prevent your thyroid's absorption of any additional iodine (radioactive or not) long enough for the radioactive iodine inhaled or ingested to be safely dispersed through the kidneys."
(Amazon links above are NOT affiliate links, but please sign up for Amazon Smile so Amazon will donate a portion of your product purchases to a charity that you choose!)
