Having used acorn (via roots sage) on a project recently I'd say on balance it does improve working with Wordpress. I wouldn't describe it as a nice experience though.

I've incidently just completed a headless statamic project that used Astro for the frontend. I'd recommend you check out Astro if you haven't already as dev experiece was great and generally feels a better fit for this usecase over next.

I've found that at some point, the most efficient way to express what you want is to write the code yourself. Anything where you can express what you want fairly easily seems to be where it excels.

Personally I bill by the day and occasionally by half days. I consider 4 hours of focused work to be a full day.

One thing I'd say as a UI/Web designer is that often you are responding to a unique set of requirements to a specific brand / use case / functionality. I can 100% see how tools like this will influence and redefine the idea phase of a project but at the moment I can't see how it will make the leap from something that looks like a fuzzy representation of an end product to something that IS the end product.

Short games. I'm sure there's plenty I don't know but I would love to play games designed for 1-4 hours play. I just get bored of longer games as they inverably they just get repetative. Games that boast hours and hours of gameplay are generally very boring IMO.

For reference, 'Limbo' is the kind of game that fits the length of game I'm describing.

I'm starting a new client project which more or less boils down to a typical brochure website. For the last few years however I've mostly worked on React SPAs. During this time I've really enjoyed the React component model and certain aspects of CSS in JS which I feel I'm going to miss when working on the new project. As a result I've been doing some cursory exploration into web components (specifically Lit) as a means of replicating some of the benefits of React that I've grown accustom to but in a more 'traditional' environment. I'm curious to know however if anyone has experience of Web Components / Lit and if this a valid option in 2022.

Yes but once there's no longer the financial insentive of bitcoin rewarded for mining, fees need to have the same insentive relative to bitcoin market cap? Otherwise double spending becomes the most profitable for miners surely.
