Who knows, people in Korea inject salmon sperm in their faces I learned recently. There seems to be no end to weird stuff people will inject into their bodies to feel better about their looks.

I was trying to make an app to detect the note on an ocarina. I was having a bit of pain with it. I asked Claude to research how other apps did it and within 5 minutes after pulling dozens of sites and Wikipedia entries it had it working near perfectly.

Claude is just a tool ? The developers who merged that code and didn't properly test increased the bugs.

Isn’t this the basics of embedded engineering ? Nothing here seems magic just an engineer with a good set of curiosity and persistence (maybe people like that are magic though ?)

No, it’s tribalism of sorts. For men they’ll often paint something they don’t understand with words like that. I grew up in a culture that did that and won’t go back. Many many humans lack basic curiosity about the world.

There’s an odd goal with “productivity” by CEOs in recent years under some obsession to solve a problem that doesn’t exist. I suspect in the US where it’s shown time and time again businesses don’t value human lives we will not see this which is sad. Humans could improve so much if we chose to.

Plus one for Fastmail I’ve been using with a custom domain for years now and it’s great. I don’t use Google for anything at this point, though I’m sure they’re still tracking me somehow.

A lot of companies are mandating token use, there's certainly a smell going on here but I have no idea why all the CEO's got onboard unless they all get some of that stock. AI psychosis is very real.
