I find this idea that we need to go through hell to reach salvation to be such a common trope. An unhelpful one. It affects how we see relationships and mental health too.

Maybe we should seek out the good things directly and not act as if the bad things are somehow going to purify us.

I think there are scenarios, however (un)likely that will lead us to this point. Imaging them and spreading such ideas can make that more likely.

I think the point of stories like these is to accept that the world is too complex to fit into a story but we can try to fit a part of it anyway and we might learn something from it or at least get an interesting experience.

Also, set up formulas for calculating speed, torque, forces etc, of each system.

Then create a modular simulation library and point and click simulator where all the component variants are covered so that the user can piece new systems together using those components.

Yeah I agree and I think code forges as well as AI harnesses are kinda the killer apps of this (relatively short) era.

I think once we figure out how to tighten the loop of user feedback, expert analysis, automatic/static verification and AI generation then technology is going to make another leap.

I've tried both incus and firecracker. Both seem to work well after initial script setup. I've got the impression that firecracker should be a fairly safe option for such use cases.

I've used Interrail every time I want to travel a longer distance across Europe by train. Spares me some of the stress of dealing with interruptions since I can often just hop on the next train. Unless it's fully booked...

Couldn't this be a flaw in the attention mechanism? Like they need some kind of grounding. An awareness of what they fundamentally should care about and how the thing they are currently giving attention to relates to that?

It seems like the site is currently getting hugged so I can't look but I'm glad someone is trying to achieve a more minimalistic take on the UX of a software forge. It seems like an area with good room for improvement.

Realistically they can't go that much above the actual cost for inference since the customer can always switch to self hosted or inference only providers. Or their models have to be significantly better than the open source models for the foreseeable future. They will never be able to charge much more for their lower tier models.
