Speaking of accountability, if you look around and see the tech enshitified you have no one else to blame but the biggest investors in the vicinity. Like it or not they are building your future and more often than not it's just a byproduct of whatever the hell they think they're doing, not a deliberate milestone, which makes it even worse.

They have no "brand" left with all around hostile behavior wherever they can. The only brand they currently are so proud of is being more expensive than everyone else just because. It's been always a hardware company that doesn't even build their own hardware. Anyone can do that. Call up your investors.

I've come to believe that "agentic programming" is modeled after how a typical CEO treat the employees below them and now they are turning it into a programming paradigm. They're even trying to apply the same patterns of optimization, e.g. if you modularize your code, you can run more agents in parallel! Yay.

I have developed this clickbait allergy that I just won't read an article if the title doesn't adequately describe the post even if I'm interested. If it ends with ellipsis you don't even need to read the title (yes, it's almost always intentional).
There is probably a catalog of dark-patterns for the titles somewhere, but you can usually tell.
If you (try to) read the news you can get good at it very fast. It's amazing how they twist and bend words together to leave an effect on you even if you are just scrolling.

I don't think it's that. Ever since google news went to shit I rely on wikipedia to read the news and I was surprised that wikinews was actually a thing and it was discontinued for .. this? My first guess was that it's because they don't have control over it as much as the "official" news outlets. So they just shut it down. It's important because the news is actually where things happen for the majority of people, this is why propaganda works afterall.

All investors do this, they don't really have an idea of "the future" they want to build. They just "find something they can throw money at". Their words, not mine.

I guess Never at least if you are reading this.
More often than not you know exactly what you are looking for, you're not browsing to see what's out there. The systems should optimize for that instead of whatever this is.
