I think it's wise to be a bit deliberate when turning on globstar in bash. The main cost is occasional slowness on big trees. It's OK to turn it on for general purpose things, but for scripts the bigger concerns are portability and the possibility of unexpectedly broad expansion.

I'm from Pennsylvania and a proverbial stone's throw from where Taylor Swift is also from. Trust me when I tell you that there's nothing "middle class" about her. Her parents are wealthy and this gave her a big boost into the entertainment industry, with lots of expensive coaching, music lessons, and trips to Nashville.

I was quite fortunate to have an AP English teacher my senior year of high school that understood this advice, and expounded on it often. I recall that he boiled it down to one simple line:

Garbage in, garbage out.

What he meant by that was that it's not enough to simply read. You have to read high quality literature if you want to become a writer. You can't expect to read nothing but news, comic books, National Lampoon, MAD magazine (and in our era, blogs) and become a good writer. It just doesn't work that way. It's like trying to get physically healthy by eating junk food.

The Name of the Rose by Eco is essential. Don't be fooled if you've only seen the movie, which was not good. The book itself is phenomenal.

Pretty sure that's not true. I don't see any YT adverts when using Brave, and I don't have any extensions installed.
