In this vein there's also 3 TEST-NETs, all /24 but still useful. I've been known to use TEST-NET 1 for Wireguard: 192.0.2.0/24. The other two are 198.51.100.0/24 and 203.0.113.0/24.
There's also 198.18.0.0/15, Wikipedia says it's "Used for benchmark testing of inter-network communications between two separate subnets"[1]. Use this if you really want to thumb your nose at the RFC police.
[1] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_reserved_IP_addresses

That's definitely me. I'm generally not social, but I love clubbing, dancing and raves. Not just the music (top reason) or the physical aspect, but all the chatting with randoms too. I love the bullshit we talk, the temporary friendships and the places you find yourself at 5am. (and if anyone's wondering, nope, just alcohol)
But I can go once and be good for months. See friends a few times a year as well, and I'm sorted.
This is hard to explain, but I think it's about "who you are/how you see yourself". As if there's a tension in my head, "am I my thoughts, or am I how other people see me?" When I have been more social recently, I ruminate less and am generally happier, but I feel I lose a bit of "depth" in my psyche. I just feel kind of "thin", like a minor character in a TV show. Though writing that, maybe that's just depression trying to pull me back in.

Like many things in systemd, timers are a bit complex, I always find myself opening 2-3 manpages at once when doing one. But when you get them set up, it's just a much better system. I still use cron for basic one-liners, but that's it.

During my B.CS, most power I needed was whilst doing Android and iOS development, and even then that's just for the VMs. Otherwise did it all on a beat-up 2014 MacBook Air. Specific programs we used like SPIM, the pan/spin verification thingo, gcc/g++/etc, you can run wherever you like.
EDIT: Uni provided computers with VM stuff installed, and let us remote into them during COVID.

I had the same thing, and I ended up growing out of it in my early 20's. The gag reflex is so tough to get around, I think I gradually got past it around the same time. I'll never be an adventurous eater, but I've become a huge fan of asparagus, spinach and green capsicums (bell peppers).

Anecdotally, I'm still running a computer I mostly bought in 2011, i5-2500K still going strong, but the motherboard has a few issues: one of the PCI-E slots works sometimes, one of the RAM slots is completely broken, and the RTC seems to lose a few minutes a week.
CPUs should go pretty much forever, provided they're run on clean power. They're a little square, entirely encased. Motherboards are bigger and with physical connectors you need to use force on.

Everyone in this thread seems to identify more with camp 3. I'm very camp 2, I don't care about making anything, most of my programming is means-to-an-end, little scripts and cli binaries, rarely any large projects.
I see a computer as a sort of huge warehouse-sized machine, with tiny little gears and pistons all moving in perfect timing, and I just want to throw an apple into it, to see what happens.
