30% cut of app store, icloud, apple+ TV, Safari users, Maps users, Incremental Market Share.

Realistically lots of people could end up preferring Linux over MacOS, why risk it?

I learned to program in middle school and I loved it, you couldn't tear me away from the school Commodore Pet.

My kid we played with scratch for a bit and she had fun making some games but it fizzled out after a few weeks. No real love. I gave up. Maybe I'll try again in a few years.

There are coding classes and they're all very popular but to me it seems pushy parents signing up their children, none of them seem to enjoy it.

Its pretty sad at the end of the page it talks about other resources, the first few are 2008 ish. I'd expect them to be obsolete, but is that just become the industry standard now? FAANG SD interviews are such a mystery and the we never comment response doesn't help.

I like coffee though for the flavor, the caffeine is not the point. I'd like decaf but never found any I like and the decaf process looks pretty sketchy with lots of chemicals.

There have been rumors about the 'Sun Valley' gui refresh for months. This is from October https://www.windowscentral.com/windows-10-sun-valley-ui-octo.... Its not exactly a surprised either, Windows 10 was released in 2016(?).

Terrorist acts are only part of it though. Sure 9/11 was cheap but implementing punitive sanctions across countries hundreds officials requires an awful lot of tracking and monitoring.

As regulators catch up you can expect same forms and reporting for any crypto account as a regular account. If you ignore the rules expect big penalties until you comply- just like how banks have been paying billions in fines and are now tarpits of paperwork.

It has been a very good strategy so far. Stock is up 3x in a few months. Hopefully MicroStrategy can spin off the software part of the business and just buy bitcoin.

Has anyone seen a big - multi year system done in FP? Lots of people love FP, it seems great for your own side project, but I'm not convinced it works in those typical big corporate systems where devs turn over every few years as the code base grows.

Agreed C# and Java are virtually identical. However the cultuer is completely different. The plethora of libraries to me ends up being a handicap. We have had a bunch of different Java developers on our project and each one does things differently so we end up with a huge mess. I didn't see such problems in C# world where maybe we just had better devs that concentrated on clean models instead of incorporating fashionable libraries and other moving parts.

I worked on a big distributed system with C# and windows servers. Was rock solid I miss it so much. I'm not drowning in Java/Spring/Linux app its such a horrible mess, security is the worst nightmare but even stuff like NFS is regularly breaks. Windows was great.

Its Jira combined with outsourced or contract developers that only care about getting that feature added. Our app is a mess, loaded with technical debt and hugely difficult to support and use. 90% of devs dont care, they do add their one piece of new functionality and move on to the next one or next project.

BTC is so pointless to me. The problem is it keeps going up. It looks like its more likely to hit $100,000 before $0, so you can still make a lot of money by buying now. Which is why I bought some.

Yes I use Excel DNA, it just doesn't have the same flexibility that I can email anyone a spreadsheet file containing both code and data.
