Thanks for pointing it out. I've tried both as interactive shells for a few minutes. Murex seems to have a more minimalist approach that works well as a drop-in replacement.
However, I have trouble understanding some design decision, such as inventing redundant keywords. And I've spotted bugs in boths (e.g. ls --literal fails in nu, and the completion proposes it twice in Murex).

Bikes have already taken market shares from cars in large European cities such as Amsterdam [0] or Paris [1]. They may be a superior technology for most urban commutes: faster, requiring less space on roads and for parking, and more enjoyable [2].
Buses are subsidized. In cities with subways, they are used primarily to accommodate people with limited mobility or to cover rare routes. Between cities, they remain the cheapest option. Therefore, I'm not sure that cost is an important factor.
[0] https://inkspire.org/post/amsterdam-was-a-car-loving-city-in...

Dear HNautes,
Politicians in Europe generally do not appreciate mass, repetitive emailing. It might even have an adversarial effect.
If you want to be helpful, please consider more strategic alternatives such raising awareness among the general public, writing thoughtful arguments, or joining specialized non-profits or political parties.

There is a question of priorities here.
Ubuntu is the distro that most likely works out of the box and is the most compatible with any software. The rest are just preferences.
Maybe this project can help people explore new configurations. However, I've found that each tweak costs time with each installation, needs regular updates, and some elements are not compatible. It is possible to enjoy the flexibility of Linux without trying to be a Picasso of the desktop experience.
Also, I tried it in a box, it crashed.

I was asked a great question today: "How do you find good studies on a topic? Is the number of citations an indicator of quality?"
Over the years, I've learned many tricks, but there isn't a straightforward answer. This is especially true for someone who isn't working full-time in a field but is interested in finding solid information and arguments.
What would you recommend?

The SEC has been consistently saying that most crytoassets were securities. The only acknowledged exception, for which it had contradictory statements, is if a protocol is "sufficiently decentralized" such as Bitcoin and Ethereum.[1]
On the IPO, the registration is independant from such pursuits as the SEC raised during their approval. [2]
That said, there would have been better course of action to protect consumers, such as establishing an appropriate regulatory framework, but I may be too European.
[1] https://www.sec.gov/news/speech/speech-hinman-061418
[2] https://www.sec.gov/Archives/edgar/data/1679788/000000000020...

- Here
- podcasts
- Engaging with relevant people directly
I'm sometimes a bit late on new trends, but I spend more time on long forms and reinforce a meaningful network in the process.

This is nice, and congrats to the team. However, I've tested extensively npm, pnpm, yarn and even bun for projects that involved building new images regularly. They all worked faster than npm, but I found minor quirks on specific libraries or due to the constrained environment that didn't make the switch worth it.
I wish the open source management/governance/incentives could allow for either better standardization or more upstream contributions. Meanwhile, I continue to recommend to my students to go with the most standard tool.
