Yeah our county covid stats are the same. Static pages would work great here, instead of having to hit the API and DB for the data, since the data is updated once a day.

I find the minimalism to become frustrating, when it involves burying things that were so easily accessed before. In windows you used to be able to right click the desktop to get to display settings.

There are a lot of places around me (Texas) with no sidewalks or bike lanes. The road planing has been, is, and will probably be horrid forever.

It's amazing that they allow for streets to be built so narrow in new neighborhoods, that only one car can get through if there is on parked on the side. Lot's of complaints about people parking on the street in a neighborhood that still being built out. They also have one way streets that are hard to get through of anyone is parked on the street.

Yeah, I expect my browser to go backwards when I click back to another site, not be directed to another page on that domain. Also Pinterest hijacks the share function finch of Chrome on Android and will share a link to a main page of sorts.

Well the answering service sold itself to a larger answering service, so I no longer work on that. I may one day finish the V2 of my software. The original one was done in 2007 using Asterisk, PHP and COMET (HTTP long polling) and was banged out in 72 hours. It was an emergency situation, where their old setup finally died (circa 1986).

I looked into doing something like in the early 2000s, bit found that my idea would take more power I was comfortable to be able to provide in such spaces.

When I dealt with creating/supporting an answering service setup, the one thing that was needed on the T1 cards was echo cancellation.

They use tables too. The generated markup could be a lot better in the sense of semantics.
