I mostly agree with what you're saying. however I am concerned that sudden and large changes to critical components of America will 1) be hard to do right and 2) create a lot of dissent from people who think differently.

remember healthcare.gov? we were pretty glad we had other redundancies from day 1! it takes time to build a system and in my (granted unrelated) experience, big changes are best done in small steps

I have worked on native Windows and Mac UI, and in my experience, Apple does document most symbols. It just does it really poorly. So percent of symbols documented is not a good metric.

MSDN is much much more thorough. MSDN usually tells you everything you need to confidently call a function... Apple docs tell you enough to start experimenting.

Apple tends to have good textbook style documentation that doesn't directly explain a symbol per se, but rather explains a topic e.g. how to write network code on a Mac. But these pages are usually outdated... like 10+ years outdated.

No doubt inequality is an issue, but this seems pretty harsh on Zach Dell. His ventures failed... most do. So he tried something else and got what sounds like a pretty reasonable job... 22 year old analyst at a big Corp... not that crazy. I know a few ex-founders who have gone to companies after their ventures failed (and they aren't heirs to bns). the tone of the article sounds like they want to see him go to debtors prison!

also... yes... top schools are pandering to the rich. but how else do they offer scholarships? American gov't stays out of this (mostly), so it's up to the schools to make ends meet. the schools want to pay for many families, but to do so they need donors. I actually think that's better than only letting rich people attend (and not having scholarships). it's not a final solution, but in the big picture, it's a step forward.

I work in c++ and D was designed in part to address a lot of c++ complaints. so I find myself with very few issues while writing D. it's just a very enjoyable experience (subjective ik)

the meta programming is very cool also

I am not an expert but I think they officially offer very basic services and anything extra is at the dancer's discretion. but since nothing extra is officially offered, it's hard to make claims about it

In the US (where I am), this would be very difficult because of regulation. But maybe where you are it's easier?

It would be easy to simply make a nice UI around Bitcoin and speed up the transactions where possible with cash
