I have the option for vertical tabs in the Canary branch (v 148), but don't currently see it in mainline (v 146). Seems like a big win for usable canvas. Much more likely that a page scrolls vertically than needs the full width of a laptop/desktop screen (e.g. Hacker News).

The previous Reading Mode sidebar was such a bad UI that I assumed it was a concession to the advertising side of the Google organization.

Features I'm guessing this is missing (in no particular order): Recycle bin, Sharing with permissions, Editor, Versioning, Search, Partial sync, zone redundancy/backup, Windows, Android, Mac, and iOS clients
