I am a solo builder and wanted to share a tool I’ve been working on: Crafto. It turns text, webpages, documents, and images into carousel posts for platforms like LinkedIn, Instagram, and X.

The goal is to turn plain text into engaging visuals to help marketers, educators, and influencers boost their content engagement, grow audience, and save hours of work.

This idea came from my previous work on using AI to summarize documents, meetings, blogs, and articles. While exploring that direction, I found that pure text summaries still feel a bit plain, so decided to add visual elements. I first tried infographics, but found them hard to read on mobile, especially when they have dense text and complex graphics. What I ended up is a carousel generator that combines text information with simple layout, color, and images — trying to balance text density and visual appeal, as I found whose well-designed carousels on LinkedIn and Instagram easily grab my attention.

Compared to static templates in tools like Canva, I wanted to automate the text-to-carousel generation process so a user doesn’t need to do all the manual work of picking templates, turning their long text into short summary, and filling in the text boxes. While a user can still edit the result in Crafto, I hope it would be minimal as the majority of the work is automated.

Crafto currently uses a mix of AI and curated templates. I also want to experiment with fully AI-generated carousels (without templates) to see how they compare in quality and user preference.

The sample questions are great too-things like "what's my biggest risk right now?" "Should I rebalance?" "How would a market crash affect me?" are super helpful. I usually don't know what questions to ask to get started, though I do care about my portfolio.

One question from a retail investor perspective: I haven't spent much time with simulations-what's the main value of Monte Carlo here?

Also a small UX note: for me (mid-aged), the contrast on the landing page and in the app feels a bit low, and the font is slightly small to read comfortably, but maybe that's just my eyes.

Overall though this is a great starting point-nice work.

It seems the "how to improve" part is mostly based on my current website structure (which is fair). What I'm personally doing now is looking more into the specific area/keywords/competitors my site is in, and thinking about what content, keywords, blogs, or even formats (e.g., adding graphs, stats, quotes vs. plain text) need improvement. This part is obviously more manual, time-consuming, and domain-specific, but I'd consider paying for it if your tool offered this as a premium feature.

Btw given the increasing number of AI website builders, you could consider expanding this tool to any webpage, just my 2 cents.

I visited NASA last year and even there people talk about SpaceX positively on their technology and vision.

Curious about the valuation and execution risk at this stage, but still seems there is a good amount of optimism.

Curious what typically happens to product quality after acquisition like this - does it usually hold, decline, or disappear from the market over time?
