De Anza is nightmare to drive; biking is also a fun adrenaline rush because you have to dodge traffic.

You can categorize them as identity politics.

Which is what I was trying to get at - I don't think that identity politics are useful anymore in the modern age we live in.

What's inconsistent to me is if one accepts the moral superiority of one type of identity politics over another. Either you accept them all or you categorically deny them all.

Skepticism doesn't entail blocking out viewpoints you disagree with. You automatically lose an argument if you refuse to engage with your detractor.

I'm reminded of the initial "processing" scene in The Master between Phillip Seymour Hoffman and Joaquin Phoenix.

Hoffman's character repeatedly asks questions to Phoenix's character, inducing a hypnotic state. Repetition can also be used as a form of mind control.

I'm a little confused by the distinction. For example, if I use a framework that abstracts away pthreads from me, but still uses pthreads in its implementation of threading, is the application I write still POSIX-compliant?

I think that's contradictory. If you are setting out to save the world, but you can't improve factory conditions for your own workers, how have you shown the capability to save the world?

I'm reminded of having a strong AI agent that's given the condition "save humanity". That condition can be satisfied by having no humans on the planet to save.

It depends on the amount of tea you're using per L of water. One could steep 1 g of tea in 4 L of water, which is essentially drinking water.

"1 gallon of tea" provides very little information on the amount of tea used.
