https://github.com/kieranabrennan/every-breath-you-take
Paired with the polar h10 strap is a good place to start.
I used it for a little while, and quickly found that I could only breathe properly and consistently whilst I was watching/aware of my breath. As soon as I started 'working' my breathing went back to terrible.

They are not superior. Convenient in certain circumstances, perhaps.
For example if one cannot be bothered to use, or does not have a corkscrew handy, a screw cap might be preferred for some.
I know it is difficult for most Modern Americans to use a corkscrew. Even more difficult is being able to appreciate the complexities and effort that goes into making good, traditional wine. Best to do away with tradition for the sake of convenience.

> you can actually understand the OS.
The way you describe FreeBSD is how I imagine an OS should be. I'm going to make it a goal this year to get a server up and running. Thanks.
-- Rant
Linux gives me more inferiority complex than any other technology I've ever touched.
Sure, something like a database system, or a moderately large code base or framework is complicated, and intimidating, and it might take many years to get a grip on, and understand, let alone master. But Linux? I just don't get it. I've tried for years, read books about it, etc. etc.
But in the end it's voodoo to me, and I'm always left searching for answers to problems, unable to solve them myself. The answers are always just rote step-by-step; do this and copy this command, problem solved. Why? how? nothing makes sense!!!
I always have the sense that somewhere out there is the holy bible of Linux, the missing piece of the puzzle; read this and it will all make sense.
Admittedly I've never compiled a distro. So in some respect I'm guilty of not going into the deep end. I suspect that if I learnt systems programming, and really go into the thick of it... then somewhere I might start to find my feet.
But it's easier to just believe that I'm stupid, and Linux is beyond my ability to comprehend.

> Start there, and work through those emotions.
Do have any advice for how to deal with the associated negative emotions?
They seem kind of endless, and I'm not really sure what to do with them. I've tried things like mindfulness, meditation, journaling, talking about them and so on. But they just keep coming back, it's like they can't be resolved. It's quite painful, and I'm at a loss.

> When what used to cost 1,000 qubits and a complex logic gate architecture sees a tenfold cost reduction, it’s likely you’d prefer to end up with 133-qubit-sized chips – chips that crush problems previously meant for 1,000 qubit machines.
Is it just me (tired, and overworked) or is this poor writing?
edit: Oh man, this article is dreadful, what the heck? Is this ESL or AI or what is going on?
Another example picked at random, that's not even trying to discuss a complex topic:
> It's hard to see where the future of quantum takes us, and it’s hard to say whether it looks exactly like IBM’s roadmap – the same roadmap whose running changes we also discussed here.

This is really interesting!
I have struggled with an issue during meditation for several years now. I get to a certain point and it feels like my body/mind is going to relax, but instead I get this intense rising feeling up into the back of my throat, followed by an itching sensation that causes me to cough, and break out of the moment. Extremely frustrating!!
I wonder what is going on with my vagus nerve.
