i just got flashbacks to a past life where i handcrafted XSLT to pre-render output from a service as HTML server side. Of course the front end was running some asp.net version and Microsoft flavored XSLT had lots of quirks.

An important detail for those, like me, who have't kept up with the news: this was drone strike against a yandex data center, not cyber attack.

I've also worked 20 years in the industry, and if feel completely the opposite. Having a great setup and pipeline that works for you is a huge plus, but nothing can replace the intuition and knowhow you have built up with experience. Sharing is still caring, and we should not stop caring

I've had good experiences with mine, only thing is that wifi and ethernet claims the same IP which causes my Unifi controller to freak out and send alerts

It gets kind of out there, but what i often hear peopel refer to is that frontier models lacks the visdom component. Which I guess is in the realm of intuition, i.e. i have a feeling it might be a problem with X based on some vague signs, maybe something a colleague mentioned offhand, something that was out of alignment etc.

i've used nickelmenu and it's always felt incredibly janky, especially maintaining the config, but also the way it integrates with the native side menu. you end up jamming so much stuff in there it's hilarious

i would not underestimate the tomfoolery Xiaomi is doing to give the impression their phone can take a zoomed in photo of the moon. It's pretty tasteless in my opinion

i sometimes find myself using the desktop app on macos, but the CLI just clicks more with how i think and its more flexible too.

I prefer codex for most tasks, but stil use Claude if i need to make something "nice but generic", i.e. a html artefact or touch up of front end code.
