For the past 2 weeks I started experiencing reliability issues with AWS (especially SQS) in eu-north-1: Messages are disappearing, being processed twice increased failures when sending new message. Does anyone else experience this? What did you do to solve the problems?

So I got lazy today and asked the AI to sort alphabetically a list of names I got from the internet.

I hope someone can do the math and tell me how much more power it required to sort the 11 items in that list? how much more instruction (CPU/GPU) it required?

How much it will require if the list had 100 or 1000 items?

Honest question, something I don't understand, if you use DirectStorage to move images directly to the GPU (I assume into the VRAM) where the decoding take place? directly on the GPU? Can GPU decode PNG? it is very unfriendly format for GPU as far as I know

I totally understand the need for weapons. It is just makes me sad.

And I think Solzhenitsyn is wrong. There are psychopathic people that have no good in their hearts. Sure, with the right upbringing that could be kind and good but at a given moment they are what they are... psychopaths.

Awhile back I was researching cloud instances for performance, And I noticed that AWS didn't have the latest generations of AMD/Intel. Which are far superior to Graviton 4.

It seems obvious to me that AWS using their market dominance to shift workloads to Graviton.

I do!

I love it so much, it has a great balance between: readability, fast write/compile/debug cycle and great performance.

On tip: LLM is God send for it. So many times I find what I was looking for written in some other language and the LLM does the conversion.

The later. While I applaud Israel capabilities the are not unique. USA and china has more mony, talent and access to the hardware/software that is actually used to build the networks
