Re: Western. A similar thing plays out when the term "international community" is used in news. It refers to the US and its major allies which means US, Canada, Western Europe, Japan, Australia and New Zealand more or less.

Denying Palestinians their basic human rights to create an apartheid ethno state is not complex.

The narrative that “it is complex therefore there is nothing to be done” is meant to paralyze people from standing up for what’s right.

The solution has always been a single democratic secular state from the river to the sea. For all inhabitants of the land. Including those expelled previously.

There are so many odd decisions and/or bugs with it..

for example, logging the weight in Kilograms using shortcuts and asking it to read it back while sometimes run into float rounding 75.0000000000001... why not store in grams as an integer!!

If the server can't operate on the content, it can't merge it into the CRDT documents. Which means it would need to sending and receiving the entire state of the CRDT with each change.

If the friend is online then sending operations is possible, because they can be decrypted and merged.

I’ve had a similar line of thought.. basically what you are proposing is sort of a voucher system. But, here is where my mind went, what if it is implemented as a bunch of tokens issued via a blockchain or even through a central authority. They can be freely traded if needed and prices can go up and down, but regardless of the price, there is a set number of them that get issued.

Similarly, you can get issued tokens/rewards for doing needed work.

I’ve wanted to spend more time thinking through this more thoroughly and flesh out the idea more.. without ever having the chance to
