It’s one thing to prevent being born with hardship and preventing being born at all. Which is the case with Down’s screening.

But it’s not that I’m against it or wanting to forbid it. It’s that these are very tricky subjects with a lot of very hard moral issues that need careful consideration. In the end I believe it should be about letting people have a choice and to remember that people are human even if they are different. To not take away someone’s agency.

That’s even worse, of course you are allowed your own feelings. What gives me the creeps is when people start talking about prevention it easily slides into eugenics or other things that deny poeople agency or even their humanity.

There is a similar thing for deaf people. Or how screening for Down’s has changed the reality of raising a child with it.

Im the key change when the CAPS start, there were some mispronouncing and it did stop a bit early but I think that this was pretty impressive.

One of the first times I’ve felt like this AI stuff could actually help create something real. I could see musically challenged people like myself use this to realize some ideas that otherwise would never have left our brains

Wrong, first they blocked the Kansas Reflector but when they fixed that the “offending” column was still blocked. That column was reposted by someone else and their whole website was also blocked.

There are institutions like Medieombudsmannen and pressens etiksråd that work with enforcing the rules of press ethics in Sweden.

Your allegations against SVT is them spreading misinformation directly, the EU is investigation how Twitter as a platform handles misinformation being spread. It’s a different thing

Generally there have been quite few major labor conflicts in Sweden because when you have signed a collective bargaining agreement the unions can only strike to enforce it.

Also turns out that an organized instead of vulnerable and exploited workforce is quite productive

While ads suck and I think this is a shitty move by YouTube, I I find it hard to argue against a company that runs on ads not having a legitimate interest in making sure that they are being able to display them on their own website.

I think you could even make a good argument that YouTube MUST take appropriate measures to ensure that they display ads that have been paid for. To count impressions so they are able to bill their clients they need to do more or less the same things required to detect ad blocking.

This is wrong on many of the early points so I didn’t finish it but: - on financial information, you must delete everything not required for regulatory purposes if requested by the user. - on logs, while there is a legitimate interest to be able to find logs related to a user to be able to help them in support cases you cannot keep that information indefinitely. And once a user requests deletion that need is no longer relevant.
