Let's say this has already happened and ossified across large, formerly-innovative companies that now have so much size and inertia behind them that it might take decades for one to "fail" in a traditional sense. What can be done to reverse the process?

I agree with Ed, but am curious if these massive data centers would instead get used to mine cryptocurrency after a crash.

Not that I think that they _should_, that's all a farce as well, but it is something I could see others trying to use these data centers for.

It's almost as if we could solve the problem by having only one payer (a "single-payer", if you will) primarily motivated by patient interest instead of profit motive exerting downward pressure on costs.

Wasn't there a recent OAI dev day in which they had some users come on stage and discuss how helpful ChatGPT was in parsing diagnoses from different doctors?
