Well it is just a bit of fun I think. However, I also think an AGI or an extremely capable model approaching AGI would be able to paint a pelican on a bicycle fairly easily. So in that way it is a good metric.

The overregulation and the constant attempt to destroy any notion of privacy has really pushed me towards being anti EU. I wonder if ressources are spent seeding that sentiment.

I hope this is successful, like it or not this might be one of the best ways that Linux can reduce the Microsoft Windows monopoly. I would actually go as far as to say that it has to succeed.

Last time I read about them (here in HN) somebody highlighted that the problem wasn’t to get them to function at a high refresh rate, the problem is they stop being energy effecient at that rate. Now I mostly skimmed the article but I couldn’t find any information regarding that.

Cool, what is the price pr. Million token. I am using a 300 t/s model for a project I am doing and speed is crucial over precision, so this seems like an upgrade. However if it is 10$ pr. M tokens then it is not worth an upgrade.

I am sick and tired of companies forcing a shitty fork of vscode down my throat. If I am paying let me use your api how I wish to. Most people aren’t malicious and just want to use their own workflow.

Blaming the 4o model for people forming an unhealthy parasocial relationship with a Chat bot is just as dangerous as letting the model stay online.

It quantifies it as a solved problem.

Why and what drove people to do this in the first place.

This is the conversation we should be having, not which model is currently the most sycophant. Soon the open models will catch up and then you will be able to self host your own boyfriend/girlfriend and this time there won’t be any feedback loop to keep it in check.

This is pretty cool. But what gets me really excited is the new generic [0] element. I had to implement a webcam element one time for some CV pet project and I had a lot of trouble getting the basic api to just work (Highly likely a skill issue). So seeing that this will also expand to webcam and other IO seems like a really good UX improvement.

Thank god, I was running Tailscale on a nixos machine on some really old hardware and I couldn’t figure out why it kept crashing. It was because of this but it just failed silently.
